Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sali Herman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2009. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Old Houses, Sydney sold for AUD 44,400.00 (€ 27,074.11) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sali Herman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Railway Station, 1947 sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of AUD 73,800.00 (€ 44,233.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sali Herman erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Old Houses, Sydney für AUD 44.400,00 (€ 27.074,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sali Herman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Railway Station, 1947 im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 73.800,00 (€ 44.233,21).
