Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online, which included the work Two Village Scenes 25 x 50 cm and 28 x 38cm by Salah Taher. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,788.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salah Taher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Metaphysic in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,533.80).
