This artwork by Sal Meijer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work An Amsterdam Canal sold for EUR 3,840.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sal Meijer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aan den Omval, Amsterdam in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sal Meijer erzielte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit An Amsterdam Canal für EUR 3.840,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sal Meijer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aan den Omval, Amsterdam im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
