This artwork by Sal Meijer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A vase with lilacs sold for EUR 4,560.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sal Meijer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aan den Omval, Amsterdam in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sal Meijer erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit A vase with lilacs für EUR 4.560,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sal Meijer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aan den Omval, Amsterdam im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
