In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Fine Chinese & Japanese Works of Art Part II, which included the work Showa era (1926-1989), 1960s by Kiyoshi Saito. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,772.28), 45% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kiyoshi Saito have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Showa era (1926-1989) in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 11,467.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Fine Chinese & Japanese Works of Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Showa era (1926-1989), 1960s von Kiyoshi Saito zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 1.772,28) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kiyoshi Saito auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Showa era (1926-1989) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 11.467,70).
