Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sailoz Mookherjea was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art including Indian Miniature Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in June 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,333.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sailoz Mookherjea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Peace) in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,467.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sailoz Mookherjea wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art including Indian Miniature Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.333,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sailoz Mookherjea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Peace) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.467,53).
