Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Sailoz Mookherjea. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,624.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sailoz Mookherjea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Peace) in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,467.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sailoz Mookherjea zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.624,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sailoz Mookherjea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Peace) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.467,53).
