This artwork by Sailoz Mookherjea achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings auction, the work On The Way To Nizamuddin sold for USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,075.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sailoz Mookherjea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Peace) in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,467.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sailoz Mookherjea erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit On The Way To Nizamuddin für USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.075,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sailoz Mookherjea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Peace) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.467,53).
