Despite a disappointment, a good price for Saïd El Adawi
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition (Nubia III) by Saïd El Adawi for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,236.25). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Composition (Nubia III) is the most expensive artwork by Saïd El Adawi that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Saïd El Adawi
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition (Nubia III) von Saïd El Adawi für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.236,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Composition (Nubia III) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Saïd El Adawi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
