Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work Composition (Nubia IV) by Saïd El Adawi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,173.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Saïd El Adawi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2011 the work Composition (Nubia III) was auctioned for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,236.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition (Nubia IV) von Saïd El Adawi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.173,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Saïd El Adawi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2011 die Arbeit Composition (Nubia III) für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.236,25) versteigert.
