Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Three Figures) by Sadequain was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 10,880.00 (€ 12,662.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadequain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Qalandar in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 154,990.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Three Figures) von Sadequain wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.880,00 (€ 12.662,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sadequain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Qalandar im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 154.990,15).
