A top price for Sadequain
This artwork by Sadequain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2015. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Qalandar sold for USD 173,000.00 (€ 154,990.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00. This high result makes Qalandar the most expensive artwork by Sadequain that we have observed at auctions so far.
