Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included the work Crucifix by Sadequain. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,983.96). Admittedly, works by Sadequain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Qalandar in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 154,990.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crucifix von Sadequain zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 31.500,00 (€ 36.983,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sadequain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Qalandar im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 154.990,15).
