Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Acrobats by Sadequain was auctioned at Christies in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,072.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sadequain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Qalandar in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 154,990.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Acrobats von Sadequain kam im September 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.072,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sadequain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Qalandar im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 154.990,15).
