Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled (Riverside Scene) by Sadanand Bakre was worth GBP 10,200.00 (€ 12,084.25) to a buyer in October 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadanand Bakre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of INR 18,750,000.00 (€ 236,796.79).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Riverside Scene) von Sadanand Bakre war einem Käufer im Oktober 2021 GBP 10.200,00 (€ 12.084,25) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sadanand Bakre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 18.750.000,00 (€ 236.796,79).
