Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections, which included this untitled work by Sadanand Bakre. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,697.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 95,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadanand Bakre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of INR 18,750,000.00 (€ 236,796.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sadanand Bakre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.697,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 95.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sadanand Bakre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 18.750.000,00 (€ 236.796,79).
