Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Failure to the Tableau Thought by Sadaharu Horio was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,566.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00. Other works by Sadaharu Horio have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2016 the work Work 68.B was auctioned for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 69,348.90).
