The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,644.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ruth Milles have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2017 the work Woman in the wind was auctioned for SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,679.59).

Die Arbeit Girl with a basket von Ruth Milles wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.644,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
