Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Bukett Lisa" (Bouquet Lisa) by Ruth Milles was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 13,000.00 (€ 1,103.57). Admittedly, works by Ruth Milles have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman in the wind in December 2017 with an auction result of SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,679.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Bukett Lisa" (Bouquet Lisa) von Ruth Milles im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 13.000,00 (€ 1.103,57) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruth Milles auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman in the wind im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 46.000,00 (€ 4.679,59).
