Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work Elvis, 2003 by Russell Young. The price achieved of USD 12,750.00 (€ 11,013.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russell Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name, which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elvis, 2003 von Russell Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 11.013,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Russell Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für EUR 43.750,00 versteigert wurde.
