In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Corn Sheaves and Buggy changed hands for USD 4,780.00 (€ 4,117.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russell Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of a valley, Springtime, which sold at auction in March 2004 for USD 16,730.00 (€ 13,610.48).
