Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Festival in Bali by Rusli. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,268.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rusli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Festival In Bali in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 36,708.31).
