Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Ravenscourt Park, Spring by Ruskin Spear. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,335.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruskin Spear achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arty Tie in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 48,032.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ravenscourt Park, Spring von Ruskin Spear zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.335,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruskin Spear erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arty Tie im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 48.032,33).
