In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Courtyard Of Krakow University by Rudolf von Alt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,880.00 (€ 39,265.21), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rudolf von Alt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Austrian der Konstantinbogen Und Das Kolosseum In Rom (The Arch Of Constantine And The Colosseum, Rome) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 140,500.00 (€ 169,072.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Courtyard Of Krakow University von Rudolf von Alt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 39.265,21) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf von Alt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Austrian der Konstantinbogen Und Das Kolosseum In Rom (The Arch Of Constantine And The Colosseum, Rome) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 140.500,00 (€ 169.072,95).
