In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Canal In Venice by Rudolf von Alt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,000.00 (€ 43,917.34), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf von Alt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian der Konstantinbogen Und Das Kolosseum In Rom (The Arch Of Constantine And The Colosseum, Rome), which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 140,500.00 (€ 169,072.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Canal In Venice von Rudolf von Alt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 43.917,34) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf von Alt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrian der Konstantinbogen Und Das Kolosseum In Rom (The Arch Of Constantine And The Colosseum, Rome) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 140.500,00 (€ 169.072,95) versteigert wurde.
