Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rudolf de Crignis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2014. In the Forms in Color auction, the work Surface Portfolio of three Etchings sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,987.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf de Crignis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „PAINTING #02-11“, which sold at auction in July 2021 for EUR 8,125.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rudolf de Crignis erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Forms in Color wurde die Arbeit Surface Portfolio of three Etchings für USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.987,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf de Crignis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „PAINTING #02-11“ beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
