The work Two works: (i) Aviadores Anónimos; (ii) El Sol y la Luna by Rubén Méndez was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in October 2009. The price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 593.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rubén Méndez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Six Works: Untitled in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,812.13).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 593,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rubén Méndez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Six Works: Untitled im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.812,13).
