Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dutch eel boats off Billingsgate; and Moorings off Limehouse by Roy Perry was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,287.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Perry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Upper Pool from Tower Bridge, which sold at auction in October 2003 for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,775.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch eel boats off Billingsgate; and Moorings off Limehouse von Roy Perry kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.287,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Perry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Upper Pool from Tower Bridge beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.775,63) versteigert wurde.
