Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Nude with Dog), 1970 by Roy De Forest was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,176.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy De Forest achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steamship of Fate in July 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,341.31).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Nude with Dog), 1970 von Roy De Forest wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.176,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy De Forest erzielen.
