Here, the upper estimate of SEK 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 65,000.00 (€ 7,245.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rowland Wheelwright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The bluebell wood, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,331.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Young women bathing von Rowland Wheelwright kam im Dezember 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 65.000,00 (€ 7.245,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rowland Wheelwright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The bluebell wood beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.331,09) versteigert wurde.
