In the 20th Century British Art including the Collection of the auction, the work Exploring the pool sold for GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,008.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rowland Wheelwright; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The bluebell wood sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,331.09).
