Auction result well in line with expectations
The work WATER DREAMING AT MALPARINGYA, 2006 by Ronnie Tjampitjinpa was sold in the Aboriginal Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 3,528.00 (€ 2,884.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronnie Tjampitjinpa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tingari Ceremonies At The Site Of Pintjun in December 2019 with an auction result of USD 243,750.00 (€ 217,110.54).
