This artwork by Rong Zuchun achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Chrysanthemum sold for HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,091.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rong Zuchun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sketches, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 153,400.00 (€ 16,186.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rong Zuchun erzielte im Mai 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Chrysanthemum für HKD 35.400,00 (€ 4.091,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rong Zuchun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sketches beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 153.400,00 (€ 16.186,15) versteigert wurde.
