Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rong Geng achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven - Character Couplet In Seal Script sold for HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,583.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rong Geng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Scholar Fishing sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,168.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rong Geng erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven - Character Couplet In Seal Script für HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.583,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rong Geng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Scholar Fishing im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.168,81).
