This artwork by Ronald Ventura achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (Girl with Merry Go Round) sold for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 133,149.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Ventura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Party Animal in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 19,450,000.00 (€ 2,056,015.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ronald Ventura erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Girl with Merry Go Round) für HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 133.149,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Ventura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Party Animal im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.450.000,00 (€ 2.056.015,25).
