Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ron Arad could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Puddle 8 changed hands for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,434.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 170,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Arad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London Papardelle in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 139,250.00 (€ 177,493.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron Arad konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Puddle 8 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.434,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 170.000,00 – 260.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Arad erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit London Papardelle im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.250,00 (€ 177.493,79).
