This artwork by Ron Arad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2019. In the Masterpieces of Design and Photography auction, the work A Rare 'Concrete Stereo' sold for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,131.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ron Arad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work London Papardelle, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 139,250.00 (€ 177,493.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron Arad erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Masterpieces of Design and Photography wurde die Arbeit A Rare 'Concrete Stereo' für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.131,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ron Arad mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit London Papardelle beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 139.250,00 (€ 177.493,79) versteigert wurde.
