In February 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work OPAŁKA 1965/1 – ∞ DETAIL 4514079 – 4536373 by Roman Opalka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 471,000.00 (€ 545,890.07), 57% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roman Opalka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302, which sold at auction in May 2021 for EUR 1,222,500.00.

Im Februar 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit OPAŁKA 1965/1 – ∞ DETAIL 4514079 – 4536373 von Roman Opalka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 471.000,00 (€ 545.890,07) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Roman Opalka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302 beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für EUR 1.222.500,00 versteigert wurde.
