Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Waves Breaking 22 x 30 in. framed 28 x 36 in. by Roi Clarkson Coleman. The price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 2,026.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roi Clarkson Coleman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sea Symphony, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 3,760.00 (€ 4,447.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waves Breaking 22 x 30 in. framed 28 x 36 in. von Roi Clarkson Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 2.026,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roi Clarkson Coleman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sea Symphony beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 3.760,00 (€ 4.447,07) versteigert wurde.
