Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Roger Medearis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2013. In the Interiors auction, the work Burned And Abandoned sold for USD 2,875.00 (€ 2,114.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Medearis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Big Rock Candy Mountains in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,604.22).
