This artwork by Rodger McPhail achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Over the guns sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,669.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rodger McPhail - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grouse in Flight, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,752.88).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Over the guns für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.669,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rodger McPhail mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grouse in Flight beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.752,88) versteigert wurde.
