Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Condominium, circa 1966 by Roger Kuntz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,000.00 (€ 28,492.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Kuntz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concrete Canyon (Freeway Series), which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 67,575.00 (€ 60,329.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Condominium, circa 1966 von Roger Kuntz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.000,00 (€ 28.492,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Kuntz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Concrete Canyon (Freeway Series) beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 67.575,00 (€ 60.329,43) versteigert wurde.
