Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Newport Boat Yard by Roger Kuntz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,648.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Kuntz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concrete Canyon (Freeway Series) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 67,575.00 (€ 60,329.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Newport Boat Yard von Roger Kuntz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.648,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Kuntz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concrete Canyon (Freeway Series) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.575,00 (€ 60.329,43).
