In October 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Nature Morte A La Grenade by Roger Chapelain-Midy. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,188.00 45% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Chapelain-Midy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fenêtre À Venise, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,831.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature Morte A La Grenade von Roger Chapelain-Midy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.188,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Chapelain-Midy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fenêtre À Venise beobachtet, die im März 2007 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.831,31) versteigert wurde.
