the complete portfolio, comprising twelve etchings on J Green wove and laid papers, some very good impressions, selectively wiped with vibrant contrasts, with the justification page, contained loose (as issued) in the original cloth-covered portfolio case with printed title
smallest sheet: 25.6 by 29.3cm.; 10 1/8 by 11 1/2 in.; largest sheet: 52 by 44cm.; 20 1/2 by 16 3/4 in.
Executed in 1974, the present works are from the edition of 50.

A top price for Robin Tanner - as previously expected
The work Twelve Etchings (Garton & Co. 3, 6, 9, 12-13, 18, 23, 25-27 & 30) by Robin Tanner was sold in the The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street auction at Sothebys in London in February 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,207.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Twelve Etchings (Garton & Co. 3, 6, 9, 12-13, 18, 23, 25-27 & 30) is the most expensive artwork by Robin Tanner that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Twelve Etchings (Garton & Co. 3, 6, 9, 12-13, 18, 23, 25-27 & 30) von Robin Tanner wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.207,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Twelve Etchings (Garton & Co. 3, 6, 9, 12-13, 18, 23, 25-27 & 30) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Robin Tanner, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
