Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Iford Bridge, Nr. Christchurch by Robert Weir Allan. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 929.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Weir Allan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,834.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iford Bridge, Nr. Christchurch von Robert Weir Allan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 929,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Weir Allan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.834,84).
