Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'The Wind And The Sea' by Robert Weir Allan was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,030.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Weir Allan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,834.84).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.030,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Weir Allan erzielen.
