Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Weir Allan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Travel & Exploration auction, the work The River Ganges in Benares, India sold for GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,706.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Weir Allan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,834.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Weir Allan erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel & Exploration wurde die Arbeit The River Ganges in Benares, India für GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.706,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Weir Allan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.834,84) versteigert wurde.
