In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Sands of Morar by Robert Sinclair Thomson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,831.42), 28% above the upper estimate. Other works by Robert Sinclair Thomson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,539.27) in October 2005 for the work Two women's heads.
