Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Simon could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E. auction, the work Baie Delaunay changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 269.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Simon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses de Noel, which sold at auction in March 2009 for GBP 625.00 (€ 673.97).

In der Auktion The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E. wechselte die Arbeit Baie Delaunay für GBP 250,00 (€ 269,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00.
